Queen of Swords

Life right now may not be easy; there may be some struggles, maybe some ups and downs. This Queen represents your need to work your way through them, to see the lessons inherent in life's trials. This is the queen of strength and perseverance. She embodies courage when you think you have none. It's okay to be assertive when you need to be, but patience is its own virtue and sometimes that is the best way to handle a difficult situation. No matter how tough things may seem, stay grounded, find your inner resilience, pay close attention to what you need to learn in a given circumstance, and you will come through it all successfully.

Ace of Wands

Six of Wands, The Devil and Four of Wands

Card One. Past. Six of Wands. You've been enjoying a period of success, perhaps with a job promotion or having passed an exam. The accolades you've received have been well-deserved and you've been able to bask in the glory of others' admiration and honor. Unfortunately, this joy can't last forever and the time has come to move forward and face new challenges.

Card Two. Present. The Devil. You now need to face up to a personal unpleasantness. You may be in an oppressive situation right now and this is forcing you to deal with your blocks and fears, as well as some of the more negative aspects of yourself. While this isn't a particularly pleasant experience, it is a necessary one for growth. You need to let go of any self-destructive tendencies and face your "inner devils" in order to experience true personal freedom.

Card Three. Future. Four of Wands. Soon you will once again be able to express yourself creatively and with full freedom. Emotional stability, a sense of calmness and happiness will be yours. You'll be able to let go of your current stresses and the worries with which you've been burdened. Enjoy this period of well-being and use it for a much-deserved rest to prepare yourself for the journey ahead.

Ace of Cups

You're embarking on a new emotional chapter in your life. There may be a new relationship on the horizon or perhaps you're going to begin a new stage in an existing one. Despite your surge of energy and enthusiasm, it's imperative that you stay grounded. Acting impulsively is the worst thing you can do. Take your time and your aspirations can be a success.

Card Two. What You Are Being Given. The Chariot. You have the energy to pursue your desires and to fight for what is important to you. This means that right now your wishes and your circumstances are in synch and the time is ripe to achieve your goals. Don't be fooled into thinking this will be an easy undertaking, as it won't. Nothing truly worthwhile is ever simple to acquire. You're going to find yourself caught in a conflict that will need to be dealt with before your plans can move forward. The struggle is not necessarily from an outside force. This conflict may in fact be an internal one as you grapple with the fears and insecurities you're feeling in regards to the work ahead of you. But whether it be an external or an internal struggle, remember that you have the confidence and the belief in yourself to find the solutions you need in order to succeed. Ultimately, you can cope with any difficulties and if you persist, you will succeed in achieving not only your dearest wishes, but in gaining valuable wisdom as well.

Knight of Pentacles and Five of Cups

Card One. What You Seek. Knight of Pentacles. Again, for the second day in a row, we see the Knight of Pentacles. This means that this issue is still extremely relevant today and strong enough to be affecting the draw. Your goal is still your primary focus, but you must listen to the lesson of the cards and take time for yourself. Quiet, reflective time is essential for your well-being as well as for continued success in your present endeavor. Don't worry about how long your journey is taking. You will achieve the goals you have set for yourself, but you must remember that it isn't always the end result that is the most important thing, but rather the quality of the journey you have undertaken to get there.

Card Two. What Will Come to You Unbidden. Five of Cups. You're feeling rather disappointed and sad. Perhaps you feel you've made a poor choice or maybe you've had an argument with someone very close to you. You might be feeling all alone right now, but things aren't as bleak as they seem. This card marks a period of disappointment, but it isn't going to be a permanent situation. You must look closely at what has transpired and find the positive aspect in it. No matter how dire things are, there is always something to be gained from an experience. Sometimes it just takes a bit more time to see it clearly. Be careful not to wallow in self pity, and instead act on what is left behind to build upon. You can look back with regret if you have to, but then you must make the fundamental changes necessary to move on with your life.
